Maruba has a beauty that keeps on giving. I have stayed a many hotels and even resorts but this resort was different. Why? First, I would visiting the land of where my ancestors lived and secondly the resort had so so much culture right as you arrived. Maruba Resort Jungle Spa offers a luxury rainforest and tropical romantic getaway experience that is perfect for adventure. I can now check off staying in the Caribbean Jungle off my bucket list.
Loved the colors
Maruba Resort Jungle Spa features multiple accommodations varying from standard rooms, suites, and villas. Each comes with King beds, thermos for purified water, flat screen tv, in room slippers and robe. Wifi is included at the front of the dining areas. I loved our standard room and felt like a Caribbean princess with the tropical greens, grey, purples, etc that were on the bed sheets and walls. The walls were made of beautiful stone that too had a trio of beautiful colors.
Japanese Mineral Bath
There are an array of activities to do near or on the resort. On the resort there is Jungle horse back riding, and Medicinal Safari Hike. Near the resort is Altun Ha (Mayan Site), Crooked Tree, Baboon Sanctuary, swimming, Cave Tubing & Zip Lining, Hookah lounge, Snorkeling and many other activities. The resort also offers a vary of spa packages, which we did participate in. (LOVED IT)
Lastly, I can’t forget the food! This is a private resort, so all the food we needed was only a foot away. Maruba offers scrumptious cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner which are served in the Jungle Treehouse or the Garden Patio. Guests can enjoy and array of meal options as well as the freshest fruit we have ever tasted that included fresh mangoes, and strawberries.
Burger
Delicious breakfast Omelette
Plantains (snack)
I don’t normally drink, but this Rum Punch was GOOOD!
I thoroughly included the fruit platters, many beautiful cultural meals including Beef Carbonade, and Chicken.
So fun!
Zip lining with the Husband
This was a vacation to remember! It rained quite a bit, but remember it is the jungle. We still were able to do everything we wanted. Horseback riding, cave tubing, and zip lining! My father is from Belize and other parts of Central America. I was so humbled to be there and be able to take in the culture as well as the people. It did not hurt that our horseback riding guide stated I looked like I was from Belize without me even saying. Until next time, Belize and Maruba Resort Jungle Spa.
