It’s wedding season! Your wedding day is meant to be one of the best days of your life. It is seen like a fairy-tale that you and your partner will share for a lifetime to come. The joyful thoughts are great but lets get real, the stress of the events ahead are nonstop. There is extreme planning that has to go into the wedding day, especially if you are perfectionist and want minimal assistance. I was the type of bride that was stressed until I said, I do. Yet once it was over, it was over! The next day was pure bliss and here’s why:
Waking up next to my best friend
This might sound so clique but at the end of it all the best part was waking up knowing I was married to my husband. This is the reason why we get married, right? Because of the end results . I’m often asked if I had to go through all the craziness that was my wedding day, again, would I? And the answer would be yes, because like I said the day after is the best.
Gifts
Who doesn’t love GIFTS? So don’t waste any time. After your wedding have breakfast then spend time opening wedding gifts with your new spouse. I really enjoyed spending this quality time with my husband, mostly us just laughing and enjoying the cards and gifts our guests got us.
Honeymoon
Yes! The honeymoon is one of the best things you should look forward to after your big day. After all the stress and fear of planning, and the end result being that nothing is perfect, who cares! It’s over! Grab your passports, sunglasses, and have a great time! You deserve it!
Sleep
Take this how you want it 😉
Please sleep in! You will be exhausted from all the planning and the events of the actual wedding day. Being able to sleep a little longer the day after my wedding is priceless. I was so stressed from months of planning and staying up all hours of the night, I rarely ever got any sleep. Relaxing should be one of your top priorities.
Eat
Eat whatever you want! I’m not one of those brides who dieted leading up to my wedding, but if you are one of those brides get ready to stuff your face! You were able fit into your dress, good job! But seriously, eat everything! How was the day after your wedding? Let me know in the comments.
While you’re at it, don’t forget one of the most important things in marriage. Not forgetting to date your spouse.
