I have always, ALWAYS wanted to go to Hawaii, so when my husband told me we were going for our honeymoon, excited was an understatement! We booked a hotel that was right off the beach, affordable, and walking distance from all the shopping.
Pacific Beach Hotel (Hawaii)
PBH has two connecting hotels including the 17 floor Beach Tower and the 38 floor Oceanarium Tower combined make for 839 guest rooms including multiple suites. Each of the accommodations provide for ocean or partial ocean view. We opted for the ocean view because who comes to Hawaii and doesn’t want an ocean view, right? We were given complimentary water bottles once we checked in, I wasn’t sure why, until we went downstairs and there was a complimentary fresh water machine. The first room we arrived at was a partial ocean view, so we contacted the front desk and they took care of it immediately. We were moved to an ocean view. It was BEAUTIFUL!

Lay on the t.v. and complimentary water bottles on the table
We had fresh lays on our pillow when we arrived, I thought that was a nice touch. The room included a king size bed, tv, and complimentary wifi, which was great! The bathrooms I think needed a little upgrading but this hotel has been around for numerous years and still seemed to be well-kept.
Dining
Attendant feeding the fish
Pacific Beach Hotel offers 2 restaurants, The Oceanarium Restaurant, which has a variety of local foods, and a spread of delicious seafood and steaks. This restaurants is surrounded with a huge aquarium that features all sorts of marine life found in Waikiki. The other restaurant or cafe is named the Aloha Center Café. This place offered a quick morning or lunch bite including sandwiches, wraps, and smoothies. We tried both and we loved The Oceanarium mostly because of the views of the Aquarium. During a certain time at dinner a trained diver and “mermaid” would go into the tank and feed the fish. It was fun and the food was great as well.
Walking around on the beach right across from Pacific Beach Hotel
I can highly recommend The Pacific Beach Hotel, if you are visiting Hawaii for the first time or if you have been multiple times and looking for a new hotel to stay. It is not only comfortable but family friendly as well. Enjoy! Aloha! Visit PBH.
