All opinions are my own.
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and my husband wanted to take me somewhere nice and to try something a little different. We arrived at Emeril’s where they have complimentary valet parking, which is nice, especially if you just want to hop out of your car and head right into the restaurant.
This place is fancy.
We got seated. There were three waiters: one putting a napkin on our lap, the other pouring water into our glasses, and the last handing us the menu and explaining what he recommended. It all happened so quickly. Let’s get to the food.
Starter
The waiter recommended the “Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Remick, ” which included apple smoked back, parmesan cheese, and of course crab meat. All of this was placed on french bread, which New Orleans is known for. My husband stated that this was the best appetizer he has ever tasted. I had to agree. This appetizer was the bomb. All in love, I let him have the last of it, although I wanted to arm wrestle for it. lol They also bought out a dish of cornbread, which was complimentary.
Entree’
I opted for the Gulf Fish of the Day, which was the Red Snapper. I have never tried Red Snapper, but I figured it would be good based off the starter. It came with Louisiana gulf shrimp on top, and with veggies (potatoes). I could have lived without the potatoes, but the fish was SO GOOD. My husband had what he called a “soul food” meal. He got the “Crisp Duck Leg Confit,” this came with a sweet potato and pecan waffle, braised collard greens, and of course the duck leg. He ordered rum glazed candied yams on the side. DELICIOUS.
Dessert
I’m not too much of a dessert person, well at a restaurant anyway, because I’m normally too full. This time I opted to try the Turtle Sundae, only because I really wanted the King Cake donuts (only for Mardi Gras). 🙁 This dessert is definitely for chocolate lovers, which I am not ( I still wanted to try), but it was still pretty good. It comes with dulce de leche ice cream, pecan chocolate brownie crumble, and chocolate sauce. Chocolate lovers will love this dessert.
This was a great Valentine’s Day treat, my only regret is not taking any Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Remick to go.
Do you have Emeril Delmonico where you live? Will you check out it out? I would love to hear about it.

Glad you had a good dining experience with your husband. All 10,000 calories of that appetizer look delish! I’ll definitely be on the hunt for an Emeril’s next time I travel.
