Summer is definitely the time to get your natural hair regimen right. Not only do we sweat a lot on our scalp, we also get a lot more dandruff due to the dry temperatures. Your regimen should include: Shampooing at the beginning of the week and you should end your week with a co-wash. If you don’t want to shampoo at all then using a cleansing conditioner (co-wash) this Summer is a great substitute. Co-washing will also give your hair the extra needed moisture. So here are my favorite products for co-washing this summer:
As I am
Of course As I Am co-wash is my favorite co-washhands down. Not only does it smell good it’s a great detangler! If you love your products specifically, your co-wash to have lots of slip then you will love this co-wash.
Mielle Organics Co-Wash
I just recently found out about the Mielle Organics product line, and I must say that I’m very impressed! I love all of their products, but hands down the co-wash makes my hair feels so soft! This co-wash works great for both thin and thick strands. It also is for all hair types and works perfect if you have color-treated hair. Like most of their products the scent is tropical, which is an added bonus!
Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Co-Wash
One of my favorite lines that Shea Moisture has is the Coconut & Hibiscus line. I love the curl Enhancing smoothie, so of course I would love the co-wash! The main ingredients are: coconut oil, water, and shea butter, which all work to strength and product the hair. This co-wash will reduce the amount of frizz and add shine to your hair all Summer long. It’s also paraben free, which is even better.
